Since 1962 Knaresborough Rotary Club has been part of the world wide association with 1.2 million members in over 200 countries who are trying to ‘put something back’ and address some of the world’s problems. With involvement in projects locally and internationally we are non-political, non-religious, open to men and women of all cultures, races, and creeds drawn from a cross-section of the community. We meet weekly at Nidd Hall for a meal and friendship with interesting speakers on a wide range of topics. Our motto ‘Service Above Self’.
We’re a local Branch of one of the UK’s largest friendly societies, the Oddfellows, which has over 200 years of experience of creating opportunities for people to meet up and make friends, as well as supporting its members in times of need.
We’re a not-for-profit, mutual society, run by our members for our members.
We host regular inexpensive social events as well as one-off special activities. Everyone is welcome to attend – you don’t have to be a member!!!!
We meet most months, on the 2nd Wednesday at Gracious Street Methodist Church, from 2pm to 4pm. Where we enjoy either listening to entertaining speakers or have an afternoon playing dominoes etc., whilst having light refreshments, all for the bargain price of £3.
If you enjoy eating out, once a month we go out for lunch or dinner to locally based restaurants in either Knaresborough, Harrogate or Wetherby.
Everyone will receive a warm at our get togethers. If you’re interested in finding out more about our events or becoming a member and benefits it brings, call us on 0113 242 4003 or email email@example.com. Plus visit www.oddfellows.co.uk for further details.
Membership costs just £30 a year (or £28 by Direct Debit).
